To all you Mom's and Grandma's, A very Happy Mother's Day.
And to those of us who have lost our mother's, my heart goes out to you because I know that even though you may be celebrating Mother's Day with your children, you are still thinking about her, I know I am. It has been 9 years since she went away and to this day I still think about picking up the phone to call her and tell her something exciting, or share with her an accomplishment by one of my grandchildren. Then I remember, she will not be at the other end of the phone. Even as I write this, there are tears coming to my eyes and I guess that will never stop.
She is the one who taught me strength, compassion, my endurance for the tough times, and the ability to love unconditionally. I was fortunate enough to be able to thank her for all she taught me before she went away. If your mom is still around, thank her for all she has done for you. I mean even child birth was difficult thing for her to do...am I right, you've been there too !!!
Here are two of my favorite photos of my Mom.
Please don't ask me what is in her hand. My father loves taking photo's of the family while we were eating.
As you can tell, we're at a dinner table. This was taking while we were on a cruise and yes that is me on the left.
Once again HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!!
