Yes the Holidays are coming quickly. Just 3 more days till Thanksgiving. Then 4 more weeks and Christmas will be here.
For those of you who make your Christmas cards every year, you may already be aware of this little quick and easy Christmas Tree. Now, I am not a card maker, I'm an album maker and you best believe I am going to be adding some of these to a couple of my mini albums this year. They would be wonderful on layouts too!
I found it at "A Creative Operation". Folded Christmas Trees. This post was from 2010 but I had never seen these or I have just forgotten them. Here is the link with the actually instructions. http://creativeoperation.blogspot.com/2010/12/folded-christmas-trees.html?m=1
Near the end of the instructions she states that you can make any size, just create your circle, cut it in half to get 2 pieces. Whatever the diameter is that you made your circle, divide that by 4 to get the first score mark. I am a Cricut users so it was super quick to grab some paper, get it into my machine and cut several circles at different sizes.
These were done at the original 5" circle per the instructions.
Then I tried two other sizes. 4" and 6".
Depending on how you want your trees angled depend on how you start to fold them.
You may notice that some of my trees aren't flat. I decided to add some foam square under each fold to give them a dimensional look.
Give them a try. They really are quick and easy and will add another dimension
of creativity to your cards, layouts or mini albums.
